Securing Android at Android Open
This is from my "Security Android" talk at Android Open in San Francisco on October 10th, 2011.
"We will cover the Android security model, its permission system with custom permissions and enforcement, device management and policies, and developer DOs and DON’Ts including data/transport encryption, preventing component leakage and tap-jacking, etc. Finally, we will also venture into more exotic areas of security such as anti-malware, firewall, SE-Linux, ASLR, and Android exploits (rooting).
By the end of this session you will have a better understanding of what it takes to make Android a more trusted component of our personal and professional lives."

Really looking forward to the video and have been checking back a couple of times. Is it still coming?

Marais,
Unfortunately, I was not able to record the video at the time because the screen-capture application on my computer misbehaved. That said, I am giving an expended version of same talk tomorrow at AnDevConII, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to capture the entire presentation, and post it back here.
Cheers,
Sasa
